TRACK FEEDBACK: ZAMBRI "TO KEEP BACK"

By: Katsuko Nakamura

The track that’s stands out amongst Zambri’s album Glossolalia, mostly composed of experimental chaos of raucous and edgy synths, is the song “To Keep Back.” On this track, Cristi Jo and Jessica Zambri stray away from bewitched vocals and massacres of muddled noise that makes me think of the music cool zombie kids with Attention Deficit Disorder would blast and awkwardly shift around too. Its obvious that I'm not a fan of the particular style of music encompassing most of the album, but the duo did produce a track that I will did enjoy, "To Keep Back."

Continuing, the romantic, slow-paced track still has that unnatural sound incorporated into its melody, and the vocals and production actually mesh well together. Heck, the duo's vocals are quite impressive and they never sounded better! The netherworld of sounds they adore compliment the song to near perfection and the gloomy vibe makes the hook inviting. Only if they could make more tracks like this. Hopefully, with crossed fingers, they will include more tracks like this in their next album project and better yet, have the majority of their songs like it. Anyway, check out the track!!!
